Westmorland Homecare will be working around the clock this Christmas looking after our community
It has been an extremely challenging year this year. Never has it been more important to look after each other. Westmorland Homecare has been busy looking after our community across the whole of South Cumbria and Lancashire. It has been a real honour to be able to support clients during this extremely challenging time. Receiving feedback from clients has been a real uplift to the whole team, One of our news clients in Kendal said,
“They are all just amazing and I have really appreciated all their kindness, support and friendship. It would have been 100 times more difficult without and especially having to no one else to help.”
Sue Wilson one of the Senior Client Coordinators explains,
“2020 has been an extremely challenging year, it has been a real joy to be able to continue to support and look after our community across the South Lakes. We could not have done this without our truly wonderful community team, they are extremely dedicated to ensuring we support our clients in any way we can. Despite all the issues COVID has caused this year our staff team have ensured that all our clients are well supported and feel safe and secure in their own home.
It has been a challenging year for us all, with the advent of the COVID vaccination we hope to start to re-introduced our community projects at some point next year. Senior Scheduling coordinator Amy Cooper says,
“ With the government announcement this week regarding Tier 4 our office team have been working hard over the weekend to make last minute alterations to ensure people are well looked after over the Christmas period where families are no longer able to visit. It has been an extremely challenging time for us all.”
For those that visit Kendal you will have seen the office window taking shape with a beautiful Christmas Display, Gingerbread helping each other during this challenging time, a massive thanks goes to Sarka one of our Care Coordinators who has put many house of work and effort into this, even roping her husband Paul in (a real family effort). It’s extremely exciting to see this building taking shape as we near the end of the renovation, we look forward to seeing Westmorland Homecare once again right in the centre of our community in Kendal as we move back in the Spring.
On behalf of the whole team we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a rested new year. We all look forward to putting the challenges of 2020 behind us. Finally we would like to thank our amazing staff who have continuously stepped up and gone above the call of duty to ensure our clients are looked after and supported during this very challenging time,
