Making Every Step Count for a Cause
Our amazing Care Coordinator, Theresa, from our Poulton-le-Fylde branch took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk in Liverpool this September 2026, helping to raise awareness and support for people affected by dementia.
Theresa is always going above and beyond to support fantastic charities, whether she’s volunteering at events, taking on challenges or helping to raise vital funds for important causes. Her kindness, enthusiasm and commitment to giving back are truly appreciated, and we’re so proud to have her as part of our Westmorland Homecare family.
Raising Awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. It affects the brain and can lead to difficulties with memory, thinking, language and everyday activities. Everyone experiences dementia differently, and it can have a significant impact on individuals, families and loved ones. Raising awareness and funds helps support people affected by dementia and contributes to the vital work of organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society.
Events like the Memory Walk bring people together to show support, remember loved ones and help make a difference for those living with dementia.

A Huge Well Done, Theresa!
Well done, Theresa, for taking part in this meaningful event and continuing to support such worthy causes. Your dedication to helping others is truly inspiring!
The whole Poulton-le-Fylde team and everyone at Westmorland Homecare are incredibly proud of your achievements. Thank you for everything you do to support others and make a positive difference in our community.
Keep up the amazing work, Theresa!
